In response to escalating protests in Imphal Valley, the Manipur Government has announced a five-day suspension of mobile internet, broadband, and VPN services. The temporary measures, which began on September 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. and will last until September 15, 2024, at 3 p.m., are aimed at maintaining public order and preventing further violence.
In addition to the internet suspension, curfews have been imposed in three districts, restricting residents from leaving their homes during this period. The Home Department’s order seeks to address the unrest and restore peace amid the ongoing demands for stability in the region.
