The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with UNICEF India to enhance collaboration aimed at fostering social change through stronger systems and community engagement. This strategic partnership is focused on establishing effective communication channels between the Ministry, elected representatives, Panchayati Raj institutions, and rural communities, with a particular focus on women and children.
The initiative is designed to accelerate progress on localized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving the flow of information and feedback, ensuring that essential government policies and services reach rural areas efficiently. By leveraging technology and enhancing communication systems, the Ministry aims to empower rural citizens to make informed decisions, improve service delivery, and promote transparency in governance. This collaboration is a key step towards creating a more inclusive, informed, and connected rural India, driving social change and better governance at the grassroots level.
