Prime Minister Narendra Modi marks his 74th birthday today, with tributes and well-wishes flowing from across the political spectrum. Both BJP allies and opposition figures have offered their greetings to the Prime Minister.
President Droupadi Murmu took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate Modi’s milestone. She praised his leadership and vision, expressing hope that his innovative efforts continue to propel India towards becoming a developed nation. “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on his birthday. Your leadership has significantly enhanced the country’s prosperity and prestige. I wish you long life, good health, and continued success in making India a developed nation,” Murmu wrote.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also shared his birthday wishes for Modi, wishing him a “long and healthy life” in a post on X.
Within the BJP, leaders have been vocal in their admiration. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised Modi’s “visionary and strong leadership,” noting the global recognition of his role. “Congratulations and best wishes to our successful Prime Minister, Mr. @narendramodi. Your visionary leadership has been evident to the world, and you continue to lead with dedication and commitment,” Singh posted.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari added his own wishes, hoping for the eradication of fear, hunger, terror, and corruption under Modi’s leadership, while also expressing hopes for India’s resurgence as a global leader.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also joined in, with both expressing their good wishes for Modi’s health and longevity.
On the opposition side, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge offered his congratulations, wishing the Prime Minister good health and a long life in his birthday message on X.
