Puja Khedkar has been formally discharged from her position as a probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. This decision follows the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) cancellation of her candidature on July 31, 2024, and a criminal case registered against her by the Delhi Police.
As of September 6, 2024, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has officially removed Khedkar from the IAS under Rule 12 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954. Khedkar was serving as a probationary officer in Maharashtra when the decision was made.
