New Delhi, 16th October 2024: The Department of Fisheries, part of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, is actively involved in Special Campaign 4.0, launched by the DARPG, Government of India. This initiative aims to enhance cleanliness, efficiency, and the prompt resolution of public grievances and pending matters. Running from October 2nd to October 31st, 2024, the campaign emphasizes cleanliness drives, effective office management, and timely handling of VIP references.
As part of this campaign, extensive cleanliness efforts are being carried out at all field offices and the Department’s headquarters in Krishi Bhawan and Chanderlok Building in New Delhi. These initiatives are focused on decluttering workspaces, maintaining hygienic conditions, and fostering a productive work environment. The cleanliness drive has led to the review of a significant number of files, with 2,447 physical files assessed, resulting in the removal of 1,383 obsolete files. Additionally, around 250 electronic files have been reviewed, with 58 files closed. A committee has been established to oversee the disposal of identified scrap materials.
The Department is prioritizing the resolution of all outstanding public grievances related to fisheries. Efforts are being made to expedite the handling of VIP references and pending Parliamentary assurances. Joint Secretaries Shri Sagar Mehra and Ms. Neetu Prasad are supervising the campaign’s progress, conducting regular reviews to ensure adherence to its objectives.
To further support the aims of Special Campaign 4.0, the Department is organizing internal awareness programs for its staff. With the active involvement of all employees, the Department is committed to achieving the campaign’s goals by October 31st, 2024.
