The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJ&E) and its associated offices, autonomous organizations, commissions, and corporations are set to implement ‘Special Campaign 4.0’ from October 2 to October 31, 2024. This initiative focuses on institutionalizing Swachhata (cleanliness) and reducing the backlog of pending matters, ultimately improving the cleanliness of government offices and enhancing public service experiences.
The preparatory phase of the campaign began on September 17, 2024, during which key targets were identified. The campaign emphasizes clearing pending issues such as VIP references, PMO references, public grievances, public grievance appeals, Parliament assurances, and inter-ministerial references.
In addition to resolving these matters, the campaign prioritizes cleanliness in government offices, with special attention to space management and improving the work environment in field offices. Efforts are being made to review, dispose of, and weed out unnecessary files and records by rules and guidelines.
Shri Amit Yadav, Secretary of DoSJ&E, reviewed the progress of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign and Special Campaign 4.0 during its preparatory phase. He provided specific targets and administered the Swachhata Pledge to all officers within the department.
Following the success of Special Campaign 3.0 in 2023, which aimed to implement Swachhata across all DoSJ&E offices, Special Campaign 4.0 will continue this momentum. The campaign will involve a collaborative effort among all officers to meet the set goals and further institutionalize cleanliness across the department’s offices.
