Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time on Thursday, following the BJP’s historic win in the recent Assembly elections. The swearing-in ceremony took place in Panchkula, where Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office. The BJP, achieving its best-ever seat tally in the state, formed the new government with Saini being unanimously elected as the party’s legislative leader the day before.
The ceremony, held on Valmiki Jayanti, saw a total of 14 ministers, including CM Saini, take the oath of office. This marks a significant moment in Haryana’s political landscape as Saini, an OBC leader, returns for his second term as chief minister.
