Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday raised concerns about the declining population of Hindus and Adivasis in Jharkhand, accusing the JMM-led coalition government of indulging in dangerous vote bank politics. He alleged that the state’s identity, culture, and heritage are being compromised by the ruling coalition’s support for infiltrators.
Modi emphasized the need for change, urging people to remove such forces to safeguard the state’s land, daughters, and livelihoods. The time has come for ‘Parivartan’ in Jharkhand to protect ‘beti, mati, roti’ and to fight against corruption. The JMM-led coalition is playing a dangerous game that threatens the identity, culture, and traditions of Jharkhand’s people while protecting infiltrators,” Modi stated during the conclusion of the BJP’s Parivartan Yatra. This campaign covered approximately 5,400 km, reaching all 81 assembly constituencies.
He also criticized the current government for being insensitive, referencing the deaths of candidates during the recruitment drives for excise constables.
This marks Modi’s second visit to Jharkhand within two weeks, as the state prepares for assembly elections. The tenure of the current Vidhan Sabha is set to expire on January 5.
Upon arriving in Jharkhand, Modi was greeted by enthusiastic crowds and interacted with tribal community members. Women presented him with a Kalash filled with soil collected during the Parivartan Yatra, symbolizing their dedication to safeguarding the state’s core values of ‘mati, beti, roti.’
The BJP’s Parivartan Yatra, which began on September 20 under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, culminated with six yatras across the state, covering all 81 assembly seats in 24 districts.
