Security forces have successfully neutralized two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district as part of the ongoing “Operation Gugaldhar,” according to a statement released by the army. The operation, launched jointly by the Indian Army and J&K Police, was initiated after receiving intelligence about an infiltration attempt.
On the morning of October 4, 2024, vigilant troops spotted suspicious activity in the area and confronted the terrorists, leading to an exchange of gunfire. During the operation, war-like stores were recovered, and a thorough search of the area is currently underway.
The army’s statement emphasized the coordinated efforts between security forces, ensuring the infiltration bid was thwarted along the Line of Control in Kupwara. The operation is ongoing as troops continue their efforts to secure the region.
