Mumbai Police recently arrested a 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, for allegedly sending a death threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The threat, received by the Mumbai Police Traffic Control via WhatsApp, warned that Adityanath would face severe consequences, similar to the recent killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique if he did not step down within 10 days. Khan, who has a degree in Information Technology, was apprehended from her home in Ulhasnagar, Thane district, where she lives with her family.
Following the threat, security for Adityanath has been increased. Investigations led authorities to identify Khan as the sender, with a joint operation by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Ulhasnagar police leading to her arrest. Police have noted that while Khan is educated, she may have mental health issues. The investigation is ongoing, as Adityanath prepares for an upcoming campaign visit to Maharashtra on November 20.
