Bengaluru police have taken three individuals into custody in connection with the suicide of 34-year-old techie Atul Subhash. Those arrested include his estranged wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, and brother Anuragh Singhania.
Subhash, a senior tech professional, was found dead at his residence in Munnekolalu, Southeast Bengaluru, on December 9. He left behind video recordings and written notes accusing his wife and her family of harassment and filing false cases, which he said drove him to end his life.
Following investigations, Nikita was apprehended in Gurugram, Haryana, while her mother and brother were arrested in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. All three were brought to Bengaluru on Saturday and presented before a local court, which sent them to 14 days of judicial custody.
The Marathahalli police have registered a case of abetment to suicide based on Subhash’s allegations and the evidence he left behind. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
