Dr. Shrikar Pardeshi, a distinguished IAS officer from the 2001 batch, has earned a stellar reputation for his unwavering commitment to integrity and transparency throughout his career. Known as the ‘Bulldozer Man’ for his decisive actions against illegal constructions, Dr. Pardeshi’s tenure as the Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is particularly notable for the demolition of 487 illegal buildings and the termination of over 200 unauthorized water connections. He also played a key role in apprehending numerous criminals and mafia leaders.
A Pune native, Dr. Pardeshi has held several significant positions, including District Collector of Nanded, Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamp, and Managing Director of SICOM. His dedication to tackling corruption and illegal activities has been central to his career.
In 2015, Dr. Pardeshi’s administrative prowess caught the attention of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), where he served as Deputy Secretary for six years. After returning to Maharashtra in 2021, he took on a pivotal role before being appointed as Secretary to Maharashtra’s newly sworn-in Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, in 2022.
