A ceremonial “Guard of Honour,” presented by NCC cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, welcomed the Vice President upon his arrival. Shri Dhankhar, along with other dignitaries, also witnessed an impressive cultural programme performed by the cadets, highlighting India’s rich cultural diversity and heritage.
Vice President’s Address
In his keynote address, Vice President Dhankhar urged the cadets to embrace the spirit of national transformation based on five foundational pillars, or “Panch-Prana”:

3. Environmental Protection: Advocating for a sustainable and green future.
4. Cultural Pride: Honouring India’s civilizational ethos and Bharat Mata.
5. Swadeshi & Self-Reliance: Emphasizing the importance of indigenous development and self-sufficiency.
“These Panch-Prana forge an unstoppable nationalistic spirit, intertwining individual responsibility, traditional values, and environmental awareness into India’s journey towards unity and self-reliance,” said the Vice President.
He also reminded the cadets of their pivotal role in shaping India’s future, stating, “Our dedication to the motherland must be steadfast and unwavering. Your generation will be the architects of India’s glory as we move towards 2047, the centenary of our independence.”
