The Department of Pharmaceuticals, under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, recently hosted the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme on March 19th and 20th, 2025, at the Civil Services Officers’ Institute in New Delhi. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, aimed to cultivate leadership skills, encourage a solution-oriented approach, and instill a deep sense of public service among civil servants.
Inaugurating the event, Shri Awadhesh Kumar Choudhary, Senior Economic Advisor and Chairman of the Capacity Building Unit, highlighted the crucial role of civil servants in shaping the nation’s governance. He stressed the importance of continuous learning, behavioral adaptability, and embracing best practices from around the world to meet evolving challenges in public administration. His address resonated with the idea that effective governance is not just about policies and procedures but also about the mindset and dedication of those implementing them.
Guided by experienced trainers such as Dr. Richa Pandey, Director at the Department of Pharmaceuticals, and Shri Maibam Warish, Programme Coordinator from the Capacity Building Commission, the sessions provided an engaging and insightful learning experience. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their roles, embrace innovation, and adopt a more empathetic and proactive approach in serving citizens.
