Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep concern over the powerful earthquakes that struck Myanmar and Thailand earlier today, causing widespread fear and distress among the people of both nations. Aware of the hardship and uncertainty that natural disasters bring, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt prayers for the safety and well-being of all those affected by the calamity.
In a message filled with compassion, he conveyed India’s solidarity with the people of Myanmar and Thailand during this difficult time. Acknowledging the severity of the situation, he assured that India is fully prepared to extend all possible assistance and support to both countries as they cope with the aftermath of the earthquake.
The Prime Minister also shared his thoughts through a post on social media platform X, where he wrote, “Concerned by the situation in the wake of the Earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. Praying for the safety and wellbeing of everyone. India stands ready to offer all possible assistance. In this regard, asked our authorities to be on standby. Also asked the MEA to remain in touch with the Governments of Myanmar and Thailand.”
