The bustling halls of the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi witnessed the grand inauguration of Sourcex India 2025, a vital platform aimed at strengthening India’s export landscape. Organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the third edition of this much-anticipated event took off on March 26, 2025, drawing industry leaders, exporters, and global buyers under one roof.
Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), officiated the event, underscoring its significance in driving India’s foreign trade forward. He spoke about the government’s unwavering commitment to facilitating sourcing from India through strategic initiatives like Make in India, Startup India, and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme. These efforts, he noted, are designed to enhance manufacturing capabilities, promote advanced technologies, and bolster India’s standing in the global market.
A key focus of his address was the role of digitization in simplifying business processes and improving product quality. He stressed that standardization and compliance with international benchmarks are essential for expanding India’s exports, and highlighted ongoing negotiations for Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to unlock new market opportunities worldwide.
Shri Ashwani Kumar, Officiating President of FIEO, called Sourcex India 2025 a landmark event that reinforces India’s image as a trusted supplier of premium goods. He emphasized the importance of direct engagement between Indian exporters and international buyers, noting how events like these play a crucial role in widening India’s trade footprint across global markets.
The response to this year’s edition has been remarkable, with over 150 global buyers from more than 45 countries, spanning Africa, the EU, North America, Southeast Asia, and beyond. The event has brought together a diverse array of Indian businesses showcasing products across industries such as Food & Beverages, Health & Beauty, Apparel & Garments, Home Decor, FMCG, E-Commerce Services, and Logistics. In a special highlight, ten National Award-winning artisans, supported by the Ministry of Textiles, are also displaying their exquisite handicrafts, a testament to India’s rich cultural heritage.
