Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi warmly welcomed His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, during his visit to India today. The meeting reflected the deep-rooted bond between the two nations, grounded in mutual respect, shared interests, and a vision for continued collaboration.
Reflecting on his own visit to the UAE last year, where he participated in the World Government Summit in Dubai as the Guest of Honour, the Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt regards to the leadership of the UAE, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He noted that this visit by the Crown Prince carries forward the spirit of partnership, marking a generational continuity in the historic and strong ties between the two nations.
In their discussions, both leaders explored ways to further deepen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Their conversations touched on a wide range of areas, including trade and investment, defence cooperation, energy collaboration, advancements in technology, educational exchange, sports, and stronger people-to-people connections. These discussions underscored a shared commitment to shaping a prosperous and secure future for both nations.
Prime Minister Modi also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE’s leadership for their continued care and support for the Indian diaspora, particularly the 4.3 million Indians residing in the UAE. He acknowledged the valuable role this community plays in nurturing the vibrant and growing relationship between the two countries.
The meeting served as a reaffirmation of the warmth and trust that define India-UAE relations, and a promise to carry this enduring partnership into the future with renewed commitment and purpose.
