Chhattisgarh Gaurela Parva Marwahi Assembly Elections 2023: BJP and Congress won one seat each.
Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCCJ) lost its stronghold in the 2023 assembly elections in the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh. In the elections held on two assembly seats in the district, both the seats went to BJP’s account.
BJP’s victory on Marwahi seat
In the Marwahi assembly seat, BJP’s Pranab Marpacchi defeated Congress’s KK Dhruv by 12,078 votes. Marpacchi got 64,286 votes, while Dhruv got 52,208 votes.
BJP’s victory on Kota seat
In the Kota Assembly seat, BJP’s Prabal Pratap Singh defeated Congress’s Atal Srivastava by 7,957 votes. Singh got 54,390 votes, while Srivastava got 46,433 votes.

JCCJ had won both the seats in the 2018 assembly elections. At that time Jaisingh Aggarwal had won the election from the Marwahi seat and Renu Ajit Jogi had won the election from the Kota seat. This time JCCJ had to face defeat on both the seats.
