New Delhi, 16th October 2024: The Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, is actively involved in Special Campaign 4.0, launched by DARPG, Government of India. This initiative aims to enhance cleanliness, improve efficiency, and ensure the timely resolution of public grievances and pending references. Running from October 2 to October 31, 2024, the campaign emphasizes cleanliness drives, effective office space management, and the rapid handling of VIP references.
In alignment with Special Campaign 4.0, extensive cleanliness initiatives are being conducted across all field offices and the Department of Fisheries located in Krishi Bhawan and Chanderlok Building in New Delhi. These efforts are focused on decluttering workspaces, maintaining hygienic conditions, and fostering a productive work environment. The cleanliness activities involve the removal of outdated files, unnecessary furniture, and electronic waste, thereby optimizing office space usage. A total of 2,447 physical files have been reviewed, leading to the elimination of 1,383, while 58 of the 250 reviewed electronic files have been closed. A dedicated committee has been established to oversee the disposal of identified scrap materials.
Additionally, the Department is prioritizing the resolution of all outstanding public grievances. Efforts are being made to expedite the handling of VIP references and pending Parliamentary assurances. Joint Secretary Shri Sagar Mehra and Joint Secretary Ms. Neetu Prasad are monitoring the progress of the campaign, conducting regular reviews and follow-ups to ensure compliance with its objectives.
To support the aims of Special Campaign 4.0, the Department is also implementing internal awareness programs for its staff. With active participation from all employees, the Department is committed to achieving the campaign’s goals by October 31, 2024.
