On December 9, 2024, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan and Haryana for key events aimed at boosting investment, empowering women, and advancing horticultural research. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 and launch several important initiatives in both states.PM Modi will begin his visit by inaugurating the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) around 10:30 AM. The theme of the summit, scheduled from December 9 to 11, is ‘Replete, Responsible, Ready’. The event will feature sectoral sessions on key topics like water security, sustainable mining, agri-business innovations, inclusive tourism, and women-led startups. The summit will also host thematic country sessions and a Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave, as well as an MSME Conclave. With over 32 participating countries and international organizations, the event is expected to foster global business partnerships and promote sustainable development in the region.
Following his visit to Rajasthan, PM Modi will travel to Panipat in Haryana, where he will launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana by the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). This initiative aims to empower women aged 18 to 70 who have completed at least Class X education. The scheme provides them with specialized training in financial literacy and insurance awareness, and after the training, participants can serve as LIC agents. Successful trainees will also have the chance to qualify for higher roles within LIC. The Prime Minister will distribute appointment certificates to the first batch of Bima Sakhis.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University in Karnal. The project, estimated at over Rs 700 crore, will cover 495 acres and include a College of Horticulture and five specialized schools. The university will focus on horticultural research, crop diversification, and the development of new technologies to enhance India’s horticulture sector.
This visit marks a significant step in the government’s ongoing efforts to drive economic growth, improve women’s financial inclusion, and advance agricultural research.
