UPSC Announces Final Results of Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I), 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I), 2024. A total of 590 candidates have been selected based on their performance in the written examination conducted by UPSC and subsequent interviews held by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.

Admissions to Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai

The selected candidates are eligible for admission to the following courses commencing in April 2025:

1. 121st Short Service Commission (SSC) Course (Men) (Non-Technical) – 470 candidates.

2. 35th Short Service Commission (SSC) Course (Women) (Non-Technical) – 120 candidates.

The merit list for the 121st SSC Course (Men) also includes candidates previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, and the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).

Vacancies

The total vacancies for the courses, as intimated by the Government, are:

121st SSC Course (Men): 275 seats.

35th SSC Course (Women): 18 seats.

Key Points for Candidates

1. Provisional Candidature: All selected candidates are provisionally qualified, subject to verification of their date of birth and educational qualifications by the Army Headquarters.

2. Medical Examination: The merit list does not account for the results of medical examinations.

3. Access to Results: Candidates can view their results on the official UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in. Marks of candidates will be available on the website for 30 days, starting 15 days after the results are announced.

4. Public Disclosure of Scores: Non-recommended candidates can opt for public disclosure of their scores and other details on the UPSC website while downloading their marks.

Facilitation Counter

UPSC has set up a Facilitation Counter near the Examination Hall Building on its campus to address queries. Candidates can visit in person or contact the Commission during working hours (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) at the following numbers:
