On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, the Ministry of Culture unveiled a spectacular tableau that celebrated India’s rich cultural diversity and creative spirit. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi’ (Heritage and Progress), the tableau beautifully blended the nation’s cultural heritage with aspirations for sustainable development.

1. Yaadh on the Potter’s Wheel:
An ancient Tamil musical instrument placed atop a potter’s wheel symbolized the depth and continuity of India’s musical traditions.
2. Kinetic Kalpavriksha:
A vibrant, dynamic structure representing the mythical “wish-fulfilling tree,” Kalpavriksha transformed into the iconic “Golden Bird,” symbolizing creativity, progress, and India’s economic aspirations.
3. Digital Screens:
Ten interactive digital screens showcased the diversity of India’s performing arts, literature, architecture, design, and tourism.
