Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat. He is an Indian politician who is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and became the Prime Minister in 2014.
Modi ji was born into a poor family. He completed his schooling in Vadnagar and graduated in Political Science from Gujarat University. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1971 and joined the BJP in 1987.
Modi contested the 1987 Gujarat Assembly elections as a BJP candidate but lost. He was elected to the Gujarat Assembly in 1990 and remained an MLA until 2001. He became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001 and held the post till 2014. 73 years of his life have been very special. - Abolition of Article 370 in Kashmir Valley: On August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Modi abrogated Article 370 from the Kashmir Valley, making Jammu and Kashmir a union territory. This step provided equal civil rights to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and promoted peace and stability in the region.
- Chandrayaan 3 historic achievement: On July 22, 2019, Chandrayaan 3 successfully landed on the lunar surface, making India the third country to successfully land on the Moon. This achievement reflects India’s progress in space technology.
- Manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccine: India was one of the first countries in the world to manufacture the COVID-19 vaccine. - Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India in the year 2014. Before becoming the Prime Minister, Modi ji had also been the Chief Minister of Gujarat state for four consecutive terms.
