The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, is set to embark on an official visit to Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat from February 25 to March 1, 2025. Her journey will encompass a series of significant events that highlight the nation’s progress, heritage, and social initiatives.

The visit will commence on February 25 in Patna, Bihar, where the President will participate in the centenary celebration of Patna Medical College. This institution has played a crucial role in shaping the medical landscape of the region, and her presence will underscore its enduring legacy.

On February 26, the President will attend a Mass Wedding ceremony in Gadha, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, organized by Shri Bageshwar Jan Seva Samiti. The event symbolizes the values of community support and collective well-being. Later that day, she will travel to Gujarat to pay homage at the Statue of Unity, a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and witness the serene Narmada Aarti at Kevadia.

Continuing her engagements on February 27, the President will visit the Ekta Skill Development Centre in Kevadia, a hub dedicated to empowering youth with vocational training. She will also grace the 44th convocation ceremony of the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, celebrating the achievements of young designers who contribute to India’s creative and industrial advancements.

On February 28, the President will attend the 3rd convocation of the National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, recognizing the role of forensic science in the country’s justice system. She will then pay homage at the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial in Bhuj, a solemn reminder of resilience and recovery following the devastating 2001 earthquake.

The visit will conclude on March 1 with a trip to Dholavira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a glimpse into India’s ancient Harappan civilization. This final stop highlights the country’s rich historical legacy and its commitment to preserving cultural heritage.

Throughout her tour, the President’s presence at these events will reinforce the importance of education, social welfare, skill development, and historical preservation. Her engagement with diverse communities across these states will serve as a reminder of the collective efforts required to build a stronger and more inclusive India.
