Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Congress and SP will soon discuss seat sharing in UP
New Delhi, January 1, 2024: Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) will soon discuss seat sharing in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Congress leaders believe that the party can contest elections on 15 seats in UP. However, no final decision has been taken yet on seat sharing with SP.
In the meeting of the Congress National Alliance Committee, it was decided that in the first week of January itself, talks should be held with the allies of India Alliance regarding seat reservation and representatives should be appointed for this.
A Congress leader said that we will soon talk to SP. We want the opposition parties in UP to come together and defeat the BJP.
Let us tell you that there are 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP. In the 2019 elections, BJP won 62 seats, while SP won 5 and Congress 1 seat.
