Prime Minister Modi Praises Bharwad Community’s Dedication and Emphasizes Education for Progress

RR Team, March 20, 2025March 21, 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Bavaliyali Dham program related to the Bharwad Samaj of Gujarat through a video message, extending his greetings to Mahant Shri Ram Bapu Ji, community leaders, and devotees. He paid tribute to the traditions of the Bharwad community and the revered saints who have upheld them, expressing joy over Mahant Shri Ram Bapu Ji being conferred the title of Mahamandaleshwar during the historic Mahakumbh.

Reflecting on the Bhagwat Katha conducted by the community, Shri Modi likened the spiritual atmosphere of Bhavnagar to Lord Krishna’s Vrindavan, calling Bavaliyali a symbol of faith, culture, and unity. He highlighted the significance of the re-consecration of Shri Naga Lakha Thakur temple and praised the community’s enthusiasm in celebrating their heritage through traditional performances.

The Prime Minister underscored his deep connection with the Bharwad community, commending their dedication to service, love for nature, and commitment to cow protection. Recalling the remarkable efforts of spiritual leaders like Pujya Isu Bapu, he acknowledged their selfless work in providing relief during droughts, supporting displaced families, and preserving indigenous Gir cows.

Emphasizing the transformative power of education, Shri Modi urged the community to continue embracing knowledge and modernity. He encouraged the younger generation, especially girls, to excel in academics and technology, envisioning a future where they wield computers instead of traditional sticks. He praised initiatives such as hostels for displaced children and efforts to connect the community to global opportunities.

The Prime Minister reiterated that developing villages is the first step toward building a Viksit Bharat and highlighted government programs supporting rural progress, including livestock vaccination, Kisan Credit Cards, and the National Gokul Mission for cattle conservation. He encouraged tree plantations in honor of mothers and promoted natural farming as a sustainable way forward.

Expressing gratitude for being part of the event, Shri Modi reaffirmed his commitment to the Bharwad community, calling them partners in the nation’s progress. He concluded with prayers for their continued prosperity and well-being, reinforcing the belief that “Sabka Prayas” is the key to India’s future.
