The Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities—including the Safety Lab, Grooming Centre, and Security Lab—demonstrated a deep-rooted investment in human capital and safety preparedness. The under-construction Simulator Buildings signaled further growth in this essential training infrastructure.
A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration of the Air India Safety Promotion Centre, a forward-looking initiative that transforms past learnings into practical, immersive training. Speaking at the event, Shri Naidu praised the airline’s strong commitment to fostering a “safety-first” culture, noting that the new centre exemplifies how real-world experiences can be transformed into powerful training tools that go well beyond traditional methods.
In his address, the Minister emphasized the importance of safety as India expands its aviation network across the country. He commended Air India’s evolution under the Tata Group and the unwavering dedication of its staff, remarking that the airline is on a promising journey to becoming one of the world’s best carriers. Shri Naidu also reiterated the government’s support for the aviation sector, assuring stakeholders that building a globally competitive and reliable aviation ecosystem remains a national priority.
The day’s visit was a moment of reflection, aspiration, and solidarity. Welcomed warmly by Air India CEO and MD Mr. Campbell Wilson and his leadership team, the Minister’s presence underscored not just oversight, but genuine encouragement and collaboration.
