Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan is set to embark on an important visit to Singapore from May 30 to June 1, 2025, where he will represent India at the 22nd edition of the Shangri-La Dialogue. This high-profile annual summit, hosted by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, is one of Asia’s most significant platforms for discussing defence and security issues.

During his visit, General Chauhan is scheduled to engage in a series of bilateral meetings with top military leaders from around the world. His interactions will include defence chiefs and senior officials from countries such as Australia, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several others from the European Union and the Indo-Pacific region. These meetings aim to foster mutual understanding, deepen defence ties, and explore new avenues of cooperation in the evolving geopolitical landscape.
In a show of India’s thought leadership in global military affairs, General Chauhan will also deliver keynote addresses to members of academia, research institutions, and strategic think tanks. He will speak on the pressing theme of ‘Future Wars and Warfare,’ offering insights into the changing nature of conflict and the strategies nations must adopt to stay prepared. In addition, he will contribute to special sessions with a focus on ‘Defence Innovation Solutions for Future Challenges,’ reflecting India’s growing emphasis on indigenous innovation and technological advancement in defence.
