Before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, political activity has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party (SP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) have announced seat sharing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to this agreement, RLD will be given 7 seats in Western Uttar Pradesh. SP will contest elections on the remaining 80 seats.
SP President Akhilesh Yadav and RLD President Jayant Chaudhary announced this agreement in a joint press conference on Monday. Akhilesh Yadav said that this agreement is a symbol of the spirit of brotherhood and unity between the two parties. He said that both the parties together will bring change in Uttar Pradesh.
Jayant Chaudhary said that this agreement is in the interest of farmers, poor and labourers. He said that both parties would work together to double the income of farmers and provide employment to the youth.
After this agreement, there is an alliance between SP and RLD for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Both the parties together will try to defeat BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav shared his photo with Jayant and wrote on Instagram – “Congratulations to everyone on the alliance of Rashtriya Lok Dal and SP! Let everyone unite for victory, unite!” While reacting to this post of Akhilesh Yadav, RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary wrote on Twitter – “Always ready to protect national and constitutional values, there is an expectation from all the workers of our alliance to work together for the development and prosperity of their area.” Go ahead!”
