Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the singing of Bihar singer Maithili Thakur in a post on Twitter on Saturday. He said that Maithili Thakur has brought alive the devotion of Mother Shabari with her melodious voice.
Maithili Thakur is an Indian singer who sings songs in different languages like Hindi, Bhojpuri and Maithili. She has sung many songs based on the stories of Ramayana.
According to Ramayana, mother Shabari was a devotee of Lord Rama. When Lord Rama was in exile, he fed him a half-eaten fruit.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi on Thursday released a commemorative postage stamp on the Ram mandir in Ayodhya and a book of stamps dedicated to Lord Ram issued by countries across the world.
The design components of the stamps include the Ram mandir, Chaupai (poem) ‘Mangal Bhawan Amangal Hari’, the Sun, the Saryu River and sculptures in and around the mandir.
The six commemorative stamps released today include Ram mandir in Ayodhya, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj and Maa Shabari.
Emphasizing the importance of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha program to be held on January 22, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this much-awaited ceremony is an opportunity to introduce Uttar Pradesh to its hospitality culture.
The Chief Minister’s Office said in a series of tweets that efforts should be made to make Sri Ayodhya dham free from single-use plastic.
CM Yogi said that there is also a program of ‘flower shower’ in the Pran Pratishtha program. He said that they should communicate or coordinate with the Trust and Air Force officials. Do not allow traffic on the old bridge of Saryu River. Keep water police active in Saryu river.
