“NEET PG exam hall with candidates and invigilators”

NEET PG 2025 Revised Schedule Released: Exam on August 3

NEET PG 2025 Revised Schedule Released: Exam on August 3

The National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the revised schedule for NEET PG 2025. This year, the exam will be conducted in a single shift on August 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This change comes after the Supreme Court directed a streamlined exam process.

Single Shift Exam on August 3

For the first time since the exam’s inception, NEET PG will be held only in a single shift, replacing the two-shift format used last year. This adjustment aims to improve exam logistics and reduce complexities for candidates and administrators alike.

Exam City Resubmission Window: June 13 to June 17

Candidates can resubmit or update their preferred exam city choice online between June 13 (3 PM) and June 17, 2025. The option will be available on the official NBEMS website: natboard.edu.in.

This city selection operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should choose promptly to secure their desired test location.

Increased Exam Centres Across India

To accommodate the single-shift exam, NBEMS has increased the number of exam centres and cities nationwide. This ensures sufficient testing capacity and better convenience for candidates across different states and Union Territories.

The NBEMS notification also mentions that if a testing seat is unavailable in the candidate’s preferred state, a seat may be allotted anywhere in India. Efforts will be made to allot a centre near the candidate’s correspondence address.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

  • Candidates must monitor the official website regularly for updates.

  • Exam centres can be added or removed by NBEMS due to administrative or logistical reasons.

  • Those unable to secure a seat in their preferred city may have to opt for alternate cities.

Comparing with Last Year’s Exam

In 2024, NEET PG was conducted in two shifts (morning and evening) on August 11. The two-shift system posed logistical challenges. The revised single-shift system aims to make the process smoother and more efficient.

What to Expect Next?

NBEMS plans to declare the NEET PG 2025 results by September 3, 2025. Candidates should prepare accordingly and keep track of official notifications.
