Tribal Development Central to India’s Growth Vision
Shri Oram emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has not only crafted inclusive tribal policies but also implemented them effectively at the grassroots level.Three Pillars: Transparency, Inclusivity, and Efficiency
During his address, Shri Oram stressed that transparency, inclusivity, and efficiency are the foundation on which all tribal welfare programs under PM Modi have been built. He described Modi as a “true well-wisher and champion” of tribal empowerment.
Citing the history of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Shri Oram acknowledged the foundational work done under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999. However, he highlighted that it was under PM Modi’s leadership that the ministry witnessed its most expansive and impactful phase.
Educational Upliftment Through EMRS
A major highlight of the speech was the success in the education sector. Shri Oram proudly shared that over 700 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) have been set up with a massive budget of ₹25,000 crore. These institutions are providing quality education to lakhs of tribal children across India.

Political Empowerment and Future Vision
The Minister also spoke of the political transformation of the tribal community, which was once marginalized but is now playing a leading role in national development. “The voice of the tribal community is now at the heart of policymaking,” he said.
In his concluding remarks, Shri Oram reaffirmed that tribal welfare will continue to be a priority under the Modi government, and future initiatives will ensure that no tribal household is left behind in India’s development journey.
