The role of young voters is going to be important in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. That is why the Madhya Pradesh government has prepared a special strategy to attract young voters in its favour. Under this strategy, the government will focus on providing employment opportunities, education, health and other facilities to the youth.
Lok Sabha elections: The number of youth is high in the Ujjain division. There are approximately 35 lakh youth in the age group of 18 to 35 years in this division. To woo these youth in its favour, the government will organize many programs in the Ujjain division. In these programs, youth will be communicated with and they will be given information about the government schemes.
The government has also launched many schemes to provide employment opportunities to the youth. Under these schemes, the government is providing skill development training to the youth. Apart from this, the government is also encouraging the youth for self-employment.
The government is also making efforts to provide educational opportunities to the youth. The government has opened many new colleges and universities in Ujjain division. Apart from this, the government is providing scholarships to the youth.
The government is also working to provide health opportunities to the youth. The government has opened many new hospitals and health centres in Ujjain division. Apart from this, the government is providing free healthcare to the youth.
The government believes that attracting young voters to its side will help it win the Lok Sabha elections.
Final publication of rolls on 8th February
Deputy District Officer Mr. Samsat Kaveshe said that a camp was organized from 13 to 20 January for the photo electoral roll. 15 lakh 35 thousand 71 citizens had enrolled themselves in this camp. Of these, 1539 service voters are also included. After the completion of the enrollment process, the database is now being updated. This work will be completed by 6 February. After this, the final publication of the list will be done on 8th February.
More than 15 lakh population in Ujjain district
The population of Ujjain district was estimated on 6 January 2024. According to this assessment, there are a total of 15 lakh 35 thousand 71 citizens in the district. Of these, 7 lakh 68 thousand 273 are men and 7 lakh 67 thousand 438 are women. The gender ratio is 979, which is higher than the national average.
If we look at the age group, there are 27 thousand 616 people aged between 18 to 19 years. There are 3 lakh 44 thousand 332 people in the age group of 20 to 29 years. There are 3 lakh 77 thousand 965 people in the age group of 30 to 39 years. There are 3 lakh 16 thousand 767 people in the age group of 40 to 49 years. There are 2 lakh 29 thousand 409 persons in the age group of 50 to 59 years.
