New Delhi, 23 January 2024:The growing tension between the Congress and the Trinamool Congress has increased the possibility of the breakup of the I.N.D.I.A alliance. On one hand, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has described Mamata Banerjee as his “worst enemy”, while on the other hand, Congress’ Bengal unit President Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has called Mamata an “opportunist”.
Adhir has said that Congress will contest the Lok Sabha elections without the help of Mamata. He said that Congressmen know how to fight elections with their strength. He reminded Mamata that she came to power in Bengal only with the support of Congress.
Mamata has also accused Congress of controlling the meetings of the I.N.D.I.A alliance. He said that Congress did not give him any information about the I.N.D.I.A alliance. He also said that he would not try to help the anarchist BJP by meeting the same Congress that he had fought during the 34-year war.
It is clear from these statements that differences between Congress and Trinamool Congress are increasing. In such a situation, the possibility of breaking of the I.N.D.I.A alliance has increased.
