Nominations Open for Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025

RR Team, July 23, 2025July 22, 2025

Deadline extended! Parents, teachers, and citizens now have time until August 15, 2025 to nominate outstanding children for India’s most prestigious child award—the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP).

Recognizing India’s Young Heroes

India is full of young achievers making a mark in science, sports, art, and community service. The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025 celebrates these bright minds by honoring their exceptional efforts at the national level.

The award recognizes children between 5 to 18 years of age for their excellence in:

  • Bravery
  • Social Service
  • Environment Protection
  • Sports
  • Arts and Culture
  • Science and Technology

The Ministry of Women and Child Development hosts this prestigious award every year.

Last Date Extended to August 15

Originally scheduled to close earlier, the last date for PMRBP nominations has now been extended to August 15, 2025. This decision aims to give more citizens the opportunity to nominate talented children from across India.

The online application window was opened on April 1, 2025 via the National Awards Portal.

All nominations must be submitted through this portal only.

Who Can Apply?

The eligibility is clear and simple:

  • Child must be above 5 years and below 18 years as of July 31, 2025.
  • Child must be an Indian citizen and currently residing in India.

Both self-nominations and recommendations by others are welcome. Parents, teachers, school authorities, or even neighbors can nominate a deserving child.

Why the PMRBP Matters

The Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is not just a medal. It’s a symbol of national pride. It encourages children to dream big and inspires others to serve their communities and the country.

Winners are honored in a grand ceremony by the President of India. They also receive:

  • A medal
  • A certificate
  • A cash prize of ₹1,00,000

In previous years, awardees have gone on to represent India in global forums and become youth icons in their fields.

How to Nominate

It’s easy to nominate a deserving child:

  1. Visit https://awards.gov.in
  2. Register yourself (if not already registered)
  3. Select the “Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar” category
  4. Fill in the required details and upload supporting documents
  5. Submit the form before 11:59 PM on August 15, 2025

Inspire a Generation

Every community knows a child who stands out. A girl who stood up for a cause. A boy who innovated something brilliant. A young athlete breaking records. Now is the time to bring their story to light.

When we recognize these heroes early, we help shape their journey and inspire a generation of changemakers.

Let’s Not Miss the Deadline

Only a few weeks remain to submit nominations. Let’s act now. Let’s help a deserving child get the recognition they truly deserve.
