Cybercrime Response Strengthened
Recognising the growing threat of cybercrime, the government has strengthened its digital security framework. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) operates as a central hub for all cybercrime-related actions. The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal enables citizens to report offences, with special attention to crimes against women and children.
The Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (CFCFRMS) has helped save over ₹5,489 crore in suspected fraud across 17.82 lakh complaints. A 24×7 helpline — 1930 — is available for victims to seek immediate assistance.
Additionally, the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory in New Delhi supports investigation officers with advanced digital evidence analysis, having assisted in over 12,460 cybercrime cases.
Housing and Welfare Initiatives
To improve housing satisfaction, 16,364 new residential units have been built since 2019, raising total housing stock to 1,33,845. The CAPFs eAwas Portal ensures transparent house allocation and has facilitated the registration of over 6.59 lakh personnel, with 1.31 lakh homes allotted to date.
For personnel welfare, allowances include additional free railway warrants, special HRA for Kashmir postings, and air travel concessions. In the event of death during duty, ex-gratia payments range from ₹25 lakh to ₹35 lakh depending on the cause.
The Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme provides 2,000 scholarships annually for the wards and widows of CAPF personnel, while reserved MBBS and BDS seats ensure access to professional education.
Healthcare Support
Under the Ayushman CAPF programme, personnel and their families receive cashless treatment at over 34,000 empanelled hospitals nationwide. More than 41 lakh Ayushman CAPF ID cards have been issued, giving access to both CGHS and Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY facilities.
Retired personnel benefit from CGHS medical facilities or a monthly medical allowance of ₹1,000. The Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB) offers discounted goods, while the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board connects ex-personnel to private security jobs under the ‘CAPF Punarvaas’ scheme.
Integrated Justice and Digital Tracking
The Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) integrates police, prosecution, forensic, court, and prison databases to ensure swift case handling. As of June 2025, the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) operates in over 17,700 police stations across India.
