Early Life Marked by Struggles
Born in Giridih, Jharkhand, Neetu Singh lost her father in a tragic accident when she was only three. Raised by her mother and elder brother, she grew up in a household with six sisters and limited means. Despite hardships, her mother prioritized education. Neetu studied at Carmel Convent, Giridih, and later at St. John’s School, Varanasi, before pursuing higher education at Vinoba Bhave University. She went on to complete her LLB from Delhi University’s Campus Law Centre, showcasing her determination to excel academically.
The Making of an Educator
In 2005, Neetu Singh began her teaching career by starting a small coaching centre. A year later, she married Rajiv Soumitra, and together they launched Paramount Coaching Centre. The institute quickly rose to prominence, eventually becoming a ₹200-crore business catering to government exam aspirants.
Alongside teaching, she authored the widely popular grammar book English Volume 1, which remains a trusted resource for competitive exam students even today.
Betrayal and a New Beginning
Her professional journey, however, was not without turmoil. In 2015, Neetu Singh alleged that her husband orchestrated her ouster from Paramount Coaching, despite her being a co-founder and 50% stakeholder. The betrayal could have ended her career, but instead, it marked the beginning of her comeback.
Later that year, she established KD Campus in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, naming it after her late father Kishore Dev. Within a short span, KD Campus emerged as one of the leading coaching centres for SSC and other government competitive exams.
Adapting to the Digital Era
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 posed challenges for educators worldwide, but Neetu Singh turned it into an opportunity. She launched KD Live, an online platform that brought affordable coaching to aspirants nationwide. Her YouTube channel also grew rapidly, crossing nearly 2 million subscribers and extending her reach far beyond traditional classrooms.
In 2025, she became an active voice in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) protest movement, advocating for students’ rights and fair recruitment practices. This cemented her reputation not only as a teacher but also as a reformist voice in India’s education sector.
A True Inspiration for Teacher’s Day
From losing her father at a young age to being pushed out of her own business, Neetu Singh has faced adversities that could have crushed anyone’s spirit. Yet, with resilience and vision, she built an education empire worth ₹200 crore. Today, KD Campus stands as a symbol of empowerment, guiding lakhs of students towards their career goals.
Her journey is more than a success story—it is a reminder that with courage, perseverance, and faith, no setback is permanent. On this Teacher’s Day 2025, Neetu Singh’s story is a tribute to the power of education and the indomitable spirit of teachers.
