Collaboration with Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth
The CME programmes were conducted in partnership with the Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi, which served as the coordinating body. Faculty members from across India participated in specialized sessions hosted by the Departments of Kriya Sharira, Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, and Swasthavritta & Yoga.
Kriya Sharira: Bridging Classics and Modern Science
The Department of Kriya Sharira trained 30 teachers from various states. Twelve eminent experts delivered lectures on subjects such as Oja, Agni, Mana, Indriya, Prakriti, Nidra, bioinformatics, and advanced Nadi assessment methods. Sessions also covered innovations in pedagogy and research tools like multi-omics and transcriptome analysis, highlighting the integration of classical Ayurvedic insights with contemporary biomedical sciences.
Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana: Modernizing Ayurvedic Drug Development
Out of 208 registrations from 20 states, 30 participants were shortlisted for the Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana CME. Fourteen experts engaged teachers on drug standardization, safety and efficacy protocols, regulatory frameworks, Ayurvedic cosmetics, molecular simulations, and functional analysis of formulations. The programme emphasized aligning Ayurveda’s rich pharmacopeia with modern research and global regulatory standards.
Swasthavritta & Yoga: Linking Lifestyle Science with Public Health
The CME on Swasthavritta and Yoga received 136 registrations, with 30 participants selected. Over 20 subject experts, including specialists from AIIMS, NIFTEM, and MDNIY, delivered lectures on Ayurvedic dietetics, sleep science, Dinacharya, Ritucharya, stress management, Yoga practices, environmental health, biomedical waste management, and public health initiatives. The programme reinforced the Ayurvedic principle of Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam (preservation of health), supported by contemporary scientific evidence.
Advancing the Ayurgyan Vision
According to the Ministry of Ayush, these CME programmes mark a critical step toward standardizing, modernizing, and globalizing Ayurveda education. By empowering teachers with advanced knowledge and innovative teaching tools, AIIA is ensuring that Ayurveda remains relevant and impactful in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem.
