The program aims to provide extensive health screenings for anemia, hypertension, diabetes, and other critical conditions, ensuring early detection and treatment.
“The health of our women is the foundation of a strong family and nation,” said Ms. Rushma Tandon, CMD of Northern Railway Central Hospital. “By participating in this vital campaign, we aim to provide accessible and high-quality healthcare to railway employees, their families, and the broader community.”
In a symbolic gesture of service, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw also donated blood during a mega blood donation drive as part of the ongoing Seva Parv.
Swachhta Hi Seva 2025 Launched at New Delhi Station
Continuing the spirit of public service, the Ministry of Railways inaugurated the Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 campaign at Ajmeri Gate, New Delhi Railway Station. Shri Satish Kumar administered the cleanliness pledge to railway officials and employees and actively participated in ‘Shramdaan’ to improve station hygiene. Ms. Aruna Nayar, Secretary of the Railway Board, administered similar pledges at Rail Bhavan.
The fortnight-long cleanliness drive, observed from 17th September to 2nd October, will engage railway staff, students, civil society groups, and local communities in maintaining public areas, platforms, and office premises. The campaign emphasizes collective responsibility and celebrates cleanliness as a shared festival of civic engagement.
Impact on Communities and Railways Network
Through these initiatives, Indian Railways strengthens its role in advancing public health, nutrition, and environmental responsibility. By integrating healthcare services and cleanliness campaigns within its network, the Ministry promotes community welfare, employee well-being, and sustainable practices.
The campaigns are expected to foster healthier lifestyles, reduce preventable diseases, and enhance hygiene standards across railway premises and adjoining communities.
