Amit Shah Unveils ₹4 Lakh Cr Projects, New Laws in Rajasthan

RR Team, October 14, 2025October 14, 2025
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, inaugurated major development projects worth ₹4 lakh crore and a state-level exhibition on India’s three new criminal laws in Jaipur, Rajasthan today. The event also marked the laying of foundation stones for various state development projects, with Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Home Secretary Shri Govind Mohan in attendance.

Three New Criminal Laws: A Transformational Reform

Shri Amit Shah highlighted the launch of a state-of-the-art exhibition introducing the three new criminal laws, replacing century-old regulations inherited from the British era. These reforms aim to deliver timely, simplified, and accessible justice. According to the Home Minister, Rajasthan’s conviction rate has increased from 42% to 60% within a year of implementing these laws, with full implementation expected to raise it to 90%.

The exhibition demonstrates the laws’ provisions, including separate chapters for crimes against women and children, e-FIR, zero FIR, mandatory videography for seizures, and compulsory forensic investigations for offenses carrying more than seven years of punishment. These reforms emphasize justice over punishment, modernizing India’s criminal justice system.

Boosting Development and Investment

Shri Shah stated that of the ₹35 lakh crore MoUs signed at the Rising Rajasthan event, ₹7 lakh crore have been implemented on the ground, with an additional ₹4 lakh crore being launched today. These projects are expected to create numerous employment opportunities and enhance Rajasthan’s infrastructure and economy. Development projects worth ₹9,315 crore were inaugurated, alongside the distribution of FSL vehicles, police vehicles, and support schemes for students and milk producers.

Supporting Farmers and Self-Reliance

The Home Minister urged farmers to increase the production of pulses and oilseeds to strengthen India’s self-reliance. He announced that crops registered with NAFED and NCCF will be purchased at 100% of the MSP, ensuring secure income for farmers and encouraging cultivation of pulses like tur and masoor in Rajasthan.

Modernization and Training Initiatives

Shri Shah highlighted the establishment of the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) and affiliated colleges to train youth in scientific investigation. Additionally, millions of police officers, judicial officers, forensic officials, and prison staff have been trained to implement the new criminal laws effectively, ensuring that India’s criminal justice system becomes one of the most advanced in the world.

The Home Minister emphasized that these initiatives, along with Modi Ji’s Ease of Living reforms, will usher in a new era of development, justice, and citizen welfare in Rajasthan, showcasing India’s commitment to modernization, transparency, and social equity.
