Dr. Jitendra Singh Reviews Sardar@150 Campaign in J&K

RR Team, October 27, 2025October 26, 2025
Union Minister and Udhampur MP, Dr. Jitendra Singh, chaired a high-level review meeting via video conference to assess preparations for the Sardar@150 Campaign, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He is personally overseeing the campaign’s rollout across five districts in Jammu & Kashmir to ensure broad public participation.

District-Level Coordination

The Minister discussed district-level activities and coordination measures with local officials, youth organizations, and volunteers to ensure effective engagement. Teams under local administration leadership have been formed, with active participation from civil society, elected representatives, and District Development Council members.

Launched digitally from Kathua on October 16, the Sardar@150 campaign has already been active online since October 6. The next major phase begins on October 31, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, with district-level Unity Marches engaging schools, colleges, youth clubs, and local panchayats across Jammu & Kashmir.

National-Level Celebrations

The campaign will culminate on November 25 in Karamsad, Sardar Patel’s birthplace. Participants will then proceed with a National Unity March to Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on November 26, observed as Constitution Day. Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that the campaign is intended as a “whole-of-nation” movement, reflecting Sardar Patel’s ideals of unity, integrity, and collective responsibility.

Engaging Youth and Communities

Dr. Singh highlighted the significance of youth participation in Jammu & Kashmir to strengthen inclusivity and empowerment. The campaign includes Unity Marches, essay competitions, and digital engagement drives via the MY Bharat portal, aiming to embed Patel’s message of national integration across communities.

The Minister appreciated the proactive efforts of district authorities and volunteers, urging sustained momentum as the campaign progresses toward its national culmination.

Message of National Unity

Sardar@150 celebrations are designed to reinforce Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. Dr. Jitendra Singh reaffirmed his commitment to personally monitor each stage of the campaign, ensuring that Jammu & Kashmir’s active participation stands as a symbol of national unity and shared purpose.
