Inauguration and Dignitary Presence
The week-long event will be inaugurated by Shri Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs. Chief Ministers from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, and Odisha Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Shri Bhupendra Patel, Dr. Pramod Sawant, and Shri Mohan Charan Majhi will also grace the ceremony. Ministers from 11 countries and their delegations are scheduled to attend, underlining India’s growing global maritime influence.
Prime Minister’s Address and CEO Forum
A highlight of IMW 2025 will be Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s address on 29th October to global maritime leaders. He will also chair a high-level Global CEO Forum with leading international maritime companies, focusing on strategic partnerships, innovation, and sustainable shipping practices.
Global Participation and Industry Engagement
Over 100,000 delegates from more than 85 countries will attend IMW 2025. The event will feature over 350 international speakers and facilitate over 600 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with investment commitments exceeding ₹10 lakh crore. State ministers and Lieutenant Governors from across India will highlight regional maritime opportunities, promoting India’s strategic investment potential.
Exhibition and Conference Highlights
IMW 2025 hosts over 400 exhibitors and more than 12 flagship events, including the Global Maritime India Summit (GMIS 2025), QUAD Ports of the Future Conference, Sagarmanthan – The Great Oceans Dialogue, and the SheEO Conference. Four country sessions will focus on Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden, alongside 11 state and UT sessions showcasing India’s maritime development.
