UPSC Declares CISF AC LDCE 2025 Final Results

RR Team, December 12, 2025December 12, 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Assistant Commandants (Executive) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2025. The results were declared on 11 December 2025 following the completion of the written examination and the Personality Test conducted earlier this year. A total of 29 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the coveted posts of Assistant Commandant (Executive) in the CISF.
According to the official notification, the written examination was held on 27 April 2025, while the interviews for the Personality Test were conducted between 10 September and 12 September 2025. UPSC has released the recommendation list in order of merit, reflecting the combined performance of candidates across both evaluation stages.

29 Candidates Recommended Across Categories

The Commission has recommended candidates strictly in accordance with category-wise vacancies notified by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The distribution of selected candidates mirrors the total vacancies available for the year.

Under the General category, 23 candidates have been selected. In the Scheduled Caste category, 4 candidates have qualified, while 2 candidates from the Scheduled Tribe category have been recommended. This brings the final tally to 29 recommended candidates.

UPSC emphasized that all appointments will be processed as per the rules governing the examination and subject to the number of vacancies officially reported by the government. No deviation will be permitted from the statutory regulations or the notified framework.

One Result Withheld

The Commission has withheld the result of one candidate. No further details have been disclosed regarding the reason, as per standard UPSC protocol. Withholding of results usually relates to pending document verification, eligibility issues, or administrative observations.

UPSC has clarified that the withheld result will be released upon completion of the required formalities.

Selection Subject to Ongoing Court Case

A key highlight of the notification is that the selection and appointment of the recommended candidates remain subject to the final outcome of Writ Petition (C) No. 5877/2022, which is currently pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. The Commission has stated that any directions issued by the court in this matter will be applicable to the present recruitment cycle.

This conditionality is not unusual, as various departmental and service-related writ petitions often influence central armed police force examinations and appointments.

Access to Results and Further Details

UPSC has made the detailed result available on its official website. Candidates may log in to UPSC.gov.in to view the merit list and official notification. Additionally, the Commission has announced that the marks obtained by all candidates will be published on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of results.

To address queries related to the examination, UPSC has maintained a dedicated Facilitation Counter near its Examination Hall in New Delhi. Candidates may visit the counter on working days between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or contact the Commission through its helpline numbers 011-23385271 or 011-23381125.

Significance of the CISF AC (Executive) LDCE

The CISF Assistant Commandant (Executive) LDCE is a crucial pathway for departmental officers seeking promotion to higher leadership roles within the force. The examination is known for its rigorous evaluation structure, testing candidates in written assessments, physical standards, service records, and personality attributes essential for commanding ranks.

CISF, one of India’s premier paramilitary forces, plays a pivotal role in ensuring security across airports, seaports, nuclear installations, metro networks, and critical public infrastructure. The appointment of new Assistant Commandants strengthens the leadership pipeline essential for managing India’s expanding security needs.

A Step Forward for Internal Career Progression

The LDCE serves as a major career progression opportunity for eligible CISF personnel, enabling them to move from supervisory roles to leadership positions. Candidates who clear the examination undergo further training before assuming field responsibilities. This ensures that personnel stepping into senior roles possess operational experience and leadership competence.

With this year’s results now declared, the selected candidates will soon proceed to the next stages of appointment and training, marking an important milestone in their service careers.
