Government of India Calendar 2026 Launched: Bharat@2026 Theme

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (I&B) and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, today unveiled the Government of India Calendar 2026. The Calendar, themed “Bharat@2026: Sewa, Sushasan and Samriddhi” (Service, Good Governance, and Inclusive Prosperity), reflects India’s ongoing journey of transformation and the government’s focus on a Viksit Bharat by 2047.Dr. Murugan emphasized that the Calendar is not just a publication of dates, but a medium highlighting national priorities, citizen-centric governance, and institutional reforms that build trust between the government and the people.

Showcasing India’s Transformation and Inclusive Governance

According to I&B Secretary Shri Sanjay Jaju, the Calendar has evolved into a powerful communication tool reflecting government priorities and values. It portrays India’s confident consolidation through reform, inclusion, and aspiration.

The Calendar features twelve monthly thematic sheets highlighting key pillars of national progress:

  • January: Atmanirbharta se Atmavishwas – Self-reliance across sectors
  • February: Samriddh Kisan, Samriddh Bharat – Empowering farmers
  • March: Nari Shakti for New India – Celebrating women
  • April: Saralikaran se Sashaktikaran – Governance and reforms
  • May: Veerta se Vijay Tak: Operation Sindoor – Honouring armed forces
  • June: Swasth Bharat, Samriddh Bharat – Health and wellbeing
  • July: Vanchiton ka Samman – Dignity for the vulnerable
  • August: Yuva Shakti, Rashtra Shakti – Harnessing youth energy
  • September: Gati, Shakti, Pragati – Expanding infrastructure
  • October: Parampara se Pragati Tak – Tradition to progress
  • November: Sabka Saath, Sabka Samman – Inclusive development
  • December: Vishva Bandhu Bharat – India as a trusted global partner

Inclusivity and Multilingual Access

Smt. Kanchan Prasad, Director General (CBC), highlighted that the calendar is published in 13 Indian languages, ensuring accessibility and reflecting the government’s vision of connecting with citizens from every linguistic and cultural background.

The launch event was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, including Shri Prabhat, Addl. Secretary, and Smt. Anupama Bhatnagar, Director General, alongside other dignitaries. Warm greetings for the New Year were extended, with a shared vision of continued progress and prosperity in 2026.
