Wings India 2026 to Showcase India’s Aviation Rise Globally

RR Team, January 25, 2026January 25, 2026
India’s civil aviation sector, one of the fastest-growing in the world, is set to command global attention at Wings India 2026, Asia’s largest civil aviation event, scheduled from January 28 to 31 at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. The four-day mega event will showcase India’s transformation into a major global aviation hub, reflecting its growing role in connectivity, manufacturing, innovation, sustainability and aviation services.

The event will be formally inaugurated by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, in the presence of senior dignitaries, policymakers and aviation leaders from India and across the world. Wings India 2026 is expected to emerge as a landmark platform projecting India’s aviation ambitions and future-ready ecosystem to the global community.

India’s Aviation Growth Story Takes Centre Stage

Over the past decade, India’s civil aviation landscape has witnessed unprecedented growth. Passenger traffic has surged multifold, placing India among the top aviation markets globally. Indian airlines have inducted hundreds of new aircraft, supported by record-breaking aircraft orders that position the country as one of the world’s largest future aviation markets.

Airport infrastructure has expanded rapidly through the development of greenfield airports, modernised terminals and enhanced regional connectivity under initiatives such as the UDAN scheme. Simultaneously, India is strengthening its position as a hub for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), pilot training, aerospace manufacturing, cargo logistics and advanced air mobility.

A Global Platform for Aviation Excellence

Anchored around the theme “Indian Aviation: Paving the Future – From Design to Deployment, Manufacturing to Maintenance, Inclusivity to Innovation and Safety to Sustainability,” Wings India 2026 will offer a comprehensive global platform for aviation excellence.

The event will feature a world-class international exhibition, static aircraft displays, aerobatic flying shows, a high-level global aviation conference, ministerial plenaries, global CEO forums, structured B2B and B2G meetings, an aviation job fair, student innovation competitions and a prestigious awards ceremony.

Strong Global Participation and Industry Presence

Ministerial-level and official delegations from over 20 countries, including the USA, UK, France, Germany, Singapore, Qatar, Russia and members of the European Union, are expected to participate. Several Indian states will also be represented by ministers and senior officials.

Leading global and domestic aviation players such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, HAL, Dassault, Rolls-Royce, RTX, GMR, Adani Group, Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, Etihad Airways and Thai Airways have confirmed participation, highlighting India’s growing strategic importance in global aviation.

Air Shows, Innovation and Future-Focused Dialogues

A major highlight of Wings India 2026 will be spectacular static and flying aircraft displays, including aerobatic performances by the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and international aerobatic teams. These displays aim to engage the public while celebrating aviation excellence and innovation.

The international conference will feature 13 thematic sessions covering airports, airlines, leasing, helicopters, MRO, air cargo, sustainable aviation fuel, advanced air mobility, drones, skilling and women in aviation, shaping discussions on the future of global civil aviation.

Charting the Future of Global Aviation

With over 150 exhibitors, thousands of business visitors, more than one lakh general visitors and extensive aircraft displays, Wings India 2026 is poised to be a defining moment for the global aviation community.

As India accelerates towards becoming a global aviation powerhouse, the event will not only showcase the country’s remarkable growth story but also contribute to shaping the future trajectory of civil aviation worldwide.
