Strengthening Digital Governance and Trust
Addressing the gathering, Shri Jitin Prasada said governance in today’s digital era goes beyond policy formulation and must focus on ease, transparency, accountability and trust. He described the SATYA Portal as a transformative step towards simplifying certification processes while enhancing public confidence in quality assurance systems.
The Minister underlined that digital platforms such as SATYA play a crucial role in strengthening India’s trusted digital ecosystem, particularly at a time when cybersecurity, data protection and product quality are becoming central to economic growth and global competitiveness.
Single-Window Platform for Certification Services
The STQC Directorate is a key national body responsible for ensuring the quality, safety and reliability of electronic and IT products and services across sectors. With the launch of the SATYA Portal, STQC’s diverse services have now been brought under a single, integrated and user-friendly digital interface.
The portal enables end-to-end online processing of laboratory testing and certification workflows, reducing paperwork, improving turnaround times and ensuring better tracking and predictability for applicants.
Boost for Industry, Startups and MSMEs
For industry and citizens, the SATYA Portal promises faster service delivery and greater transparency in certification outcomes. For startups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the digital shift significantly lowers procedural burdens and helps bring compliant products to market more efficiently.
The initiative aligns closely with national priorities such as Digital India, Ease of Doing Business and the vision of Minimum Government – Maximum Governance.
MeitY’s Vision for Modernised Service Delivery
Speaking on the occasion, MeitY Secretary Shri S. Krishnan said the SATYA Portal represents a major leap in modernising STQC’s service delivery. He noted that leveraging digital technologies would strengthen transparency, efficiency and trust while ensuring wider access to certification services for all stakeholders.
He added that such initiatives are essential for supporting India’s ambitions to emerge as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and technology-led innovation.

Shri Jitin Prasada congratulated the teams from STQC, MeitY and C-DAC for successfully conceptualising and implementing the portal. He urged industry, startups, government organisations and citizens to actively use the platform and share feedback to ensure its continuous improvement.
With the launch of the SATYA Portal, India takes another decisive step towards strengthening quality assurance, digital trust and responsive public service delivery in the technology domain.
