Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Hospitalised in Mohali

RR Team, February 15, 2026February 16, 2026
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Sunday after reportedly experiencing a sudden spike in blood pressure. Officials confirmed that the Chief Minister is stable and under medical observation.

Health Scare During Public Engagements

According to sources, the incident occurred while Mann was in Dhuri. He had been participating in Mahashivratri events in Sangrur earlier in the day. After reportedly feeling unwell due to elevated blood pressure levels, he was immediately taken to Mohali for medical evaluation.

The Chief Minister reached the hospital at approximately 3:20 pm. Senior doctors conducted a comprehensive clinical assessment along with standard diagnostic tests.

Doctors Confirm Stable Condition

Hospital authorities stated that all vital parameters are currently stable and within normal limits. Medical sources indicated that the Chief Minister is experiencing exhaustion and has been admitted primarily for observation and supportive care.

A multidisciplinary medical team is closely monitoring his condition. Officials have assured that there is no immediate cause for concern.

Scheduled Events Cancelled

Mann was scheduled to visit Fazilka later in the day. However, due to his health condition, the visit was cancelled. A planned press conference was also called off at the last minute.

Earlier, he had been accompanied by senior party leader Arvind Kejriwal during public engagements related to Mahashivratri celebrations. After concluding the events, he travelled towards Chandigarh before being admitted to the hospital.

Political and Public Reactions

News of the Chief Minister’s hospitalisation quickly spread across political circles in Punjab. Leaders from various parties extended their wishes for his speedy recovery. Supporters also expressed concern on social media platforms.

The Punjab government has not released any detailed medical bulletin beyond confirming that his condition is stable.

Focus on Health Amid Busy Schedule

Bhagwant Mann has maintained a packed political and administrative schedule in recent weeks. Observers note that prolonged public engagements and official responsibilities can contribute to fatigue and health strain.

Health experts advise regular monitoring of blood pressure, especially for individuals with high-stress roles.

Official Communication Expected

Sources indicate that an official medical update may be released if required. For now, authorities maintain that the Chief Minister remains under observation and is responding well to supportive care.
