Prime Minister Modi Condoles Shankar’s Demise

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of eminent Bengali writer Shri Mani Shankar Mukhopadhyay, popularly known as Shankar, describing him as a towering figure in Indian literature whose works left an indelible mark on generations of readers.

The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences through a message shared on social media, paying tribute to the celebrated author’s contribution to Bengali literature and India’s rich literary heritage.
