Boost to Emergency and Outreach Services
The addition of the ambulance is expected to significantly improve patient transfer, referral services, and emergency response systems at CCRAS-CARI. It will also support research-linked patient logistics and outreach health camps conducted by the institute.
Officials stated that reliable emergency transportation plays a critical role in bridging healthcare access gaps, especially for underserved communities. The ambulance will expand the institute’s operational reach and enhance timely medical assistance.
Dignitaries Attend Flag-Off Ceremony
The formal flag-off ceremony was attended by senior officials from CCRAS and NBCFDC. Among those present were Prof. Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS; Ms. Neelam Mudgal, AGM (Finance & CSR), NBCFDC; Dr. N. Srikanth, Deputy Director General, CCRAS; Dr. A.K. Dwivedi of NCISM; and Dr. Hemant Panigrahi, Institute In-Charge, CCRAS-CARI New Delhi.
Other officials and consultants associated with CCRAS also participated in the event, along with media representatives. The ceremony concluded with a demonstration of the ambulance’s features, marking its official entry into public service.
Strengthening CSR in Healthcare
Speaking at the event, Prof. Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya appreciated the contribution of NBCFDC and acknowledged the support extended by its leadership. He emphasized that strategic CSR partnerships can play a transformative role in expanding healthcare access and improving research infrastructure.
He also outlined future roadmaps, including village adoption initiatives under CSR frameworks for comprehensive healthcare delivery and research support. Such initiatives aim to integrate community-based healthcare with evidence-backed Ayurvedic research.
Ms. Neelam Mudgal reaffirmed NBCFDC’s commitment to inclusive development through targeted CSR investments in social infrastructure. She highlighted that supporting healthcare institutions aligns with the corporation’s broader objective of uplifting marginalized and backward communities.
Enhancing Research and Public Health Outreach
Dr. N. Srikanth noted that logistical support is crucial for research institutes that simultaneously manage patient care and public health outreach. The ambulance, he said, would help streamline transportation during field studies, referral cases, and health camps.
Dr. Hemant Panigrahi assured that the institute would ensure optimal utilization and proper maintenance of the vehicle to maximize its benefit for patient welfare. A formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sakshi Sharma, marking the conclusion of the ceremony.
CCRAS functions under the Ministry of Ayush and plays a central role in promoting scientific research in Ayurveda across India.
The induction of the ambulance represents not merely an addition of a vehicle, but a tangible enhancement of CCRAS-CARI’s emergency preparedness and community engagement capabilities. By combining institutional research strength with CSR-backed infrastructure support, the initiative signals a focused push toward inclusive and accessible healthcare delivery.
