NIELIT Yuva Rojgar Mela 2026 Held in Delhi

RR Team, February 21, 2026February 22, 2026

New Delhi, February 21: The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) organised its Job Fair 2026  “Yuva Rojgar Mela”  in Delhi, facilitating employment opportunities for students and alumni across more than 1,000 job openings offered by 15 participating companies.

Strong Industry Participation

The job fair was held at NIELIT Delhi’s Pankha Road campus in Janakpuri and witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 750 registered candidates. Placement desks were set up by leading companies from diverse sectors including finance, technology, digital services and insurance.

Among the recruiters were PAYTM, Axis Bank, Bajaj Capital, HDB Financial Services, Just Dial, V5 Global, 3i Infotech, Axis Max Life Insurance, Eureka Forbes and several other firms seeking skilled professionals for technical and non-technical roles.

According to officials, the participating companies shortlisted candidates against over 1,000 vacancies, reflecting strong industry demand for digitally skilled youth.

Inauguration and Key Remarks

Shri Thalluru Sudhir, Sub-Regional Employment Officer from the Directorate General of Employment, graced the event as Chief Guest. He inaugurated the fair by lighting the ceremonial lamp and commended NIELIT Delhi for consistently organising employment-driven initiatives.

Welcoming the guests, Smt. Sheetal Chopra, Director In-Charge of NIELIT Delhi, highlighted the institute’s focus on bridging the skill divide and aligning training programmes with evolving industry needs.

In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the participating companies for offering meaningful opportunities to youth and contributing to the nation’s employment ecosystem.

Bridging the Skill Divide

The Yuva Rojgar Mela is part of NIELIT’s broader effort to strengthen employability among students trained in Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) and emerging technologies. The initiative aims to connect trained candidates directly with recruiters, reducing the gap between skill development and employment.

Officials emphasised that such job fairs serve as a practical platform for candidates to showcase their skills, interact with employers and gain real-time feedback on industry expectations.

NIELIT’s Expanding National Footprint

NIELIT, an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has established itself as a premier institution in the field of digital education and capacity building. The institute operates through more than 55 own and extension centres across India, supported by over 8,500 training partners.

NIELIT Ropar in Punjab has been granted the status of Deemed-to-be University under the distinct category, with constituent units located in multiple states including Aizawl, Agartala, Aurangabad, Calicut, Gorakhpur, Imphal, Itanagar, Kekri, Kohima, Patna and Srinagar.

Holistic Support for Youth Employment

Organisers reiterated that the Yuva Rojgar Mela reflects NIELIT’s commitment to holistic student support, including skill enhancement, career counselling and placement assistance. The institute plans to organise more such job fairs in the coming years to strengthen youth employment prospects.

By fostering collaboration between academia and industry, NIELIT aims to ensure that India’s young workforce remains competitive and future-ready in an increasingly digital economy.
